This is a lovely place to stay - an idyllic location, Burrington is a lovely little village! The barn itself is super cute, it's furnishings etc have been really well thought out and it's just so cosy! We were a group of 5 friends in our mid-20s and we stayed here for the weekend whilst we attended a wedding in nearby Blagdon. There was a lovely welcome pack of delicious cheese, bread, cider and truffles. We had a great night's sleep, I think the beds are slightly shorter than normal which may be a problem if you're exceptionally tall but they are very comfortable with big cosy duvets and pillows and my >6ft husband was fine! The kitchen is stocked with most of the essentials and is very functional for cooking meals. The shower and bath are lovely too - both ensuite. We had breakfast outside in the garden and had a lovely open fire one evening whilst we had dinner. We didn't really formally meet the hosts (I think Sonya was away) but we did see whoever was looking after the barn in the shared garden a few times and they were available if we had any queries. There were also two lovely friendly dogs that came and said hello when we were in the garden, they were very well behaved and didn't even try to come into the barn. There is also a big paddling pool, tyre swing and ping pong table which we didn't use much, but would be great for kids. Overall we had an EXCELLENT time and would definitely recommend a stay her/would come back.

Although we didn't meet Sonya, we did meet her husband who was very welcoming. We had a very enjoyable short stay at their lovely barn property, which provided everything we needed. It made for a great base to see the local area, do some walking and take to the beach, much to the delight of our dog Barney, who loves the sea. Really enjoyed our stay, albeit only a quick break. Many thanks!

We had a very lovely time at the barn. The home offers a very warm and charming country experience. Sonya and her family are very welcoming. The host has not eye for detail and quality - the beds have delightful feather covers and soft cotton. With the country air, we slept wonderfully. Lovely area and landscape. We visited Bath and Cardiff from here. Also lovely walking trails. The host is very family friendly. We were a family of five and were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the outdoors. Highly recommended.

My classmates and I stayed at the Barn because we wanted a comfortable place to stay in before and after our half-marathon in Bath. The experience was way better than what we had in mind! Simon welcomed us by saying, "Hello, runners!" and gave us a tour of the house, provided firewood for the fireplace (perfect for the cold evening!), and let us play with their energetic dogs. Simon and Sonya also prepared delicious pre-race dinner for us, and let us have a late check-out the following day so we could shower and rest after our half-marathon. We really didn't want to leave! Would definitely stay there again if something brings us near Bristol/Bath! Thank you Simon and Sonya! :)

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE!

Great Location & what a lovely family. The Barn is a such a spacious and stylish home from home wonderful layout, perfect for 4-5 guests. We enjoyed the quick access to both the busy Bristol city centre & the tranquil countryside in summer bloom.

Horse riding for one day trek & pub lunch stop was very close by and we were very pleased the weather held out from start to finish. We even fitted in some time to sit out in the sun and enjoy the garden.

I highly recommend this place to all who want to enjoy a break away. I can't believe the quality and comfort offered for such a reasonable price!

Thank you to Sonya, Simon and family for offering above expectations & for being great hosts 5 stars will be recommending to friends!

Best wishes,

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barn. It was very pretty, clean, comfortable and homely. The freshly baked bread was a lovely touch, and it all felt very airy and light. We felt at home, and Sonya and her partner were eager to help when we needed anything at the start, but yet also then gave us the space to have peace and quiet to ourselves - just the right balance. The village was quaint, quiet and safe. Within easy drive of Bristol. The listing is quite accurate I think. I would recommend this as place to stay, and I would keep it in mind for other events in future.
